Biography: Stephen Hawking

Stephen Hawking is actually one of the most important physicists of the world. He was born in 1942 in Oxford, England. When he was a child his family didn't have enough money, so he won a scholarship to start his studies. In the school he learned about universe expansion and he was called "Einstein" by his classmates because of his intelligence. He studied physics in the university and wrote "The Hawking Radiation", theory that talks about black holes. Since he got married the first time he has had three children and since he became famous he has been participating in some TV programs. Also, an asteroid has his name. Since he discovered his disease, ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), he hasn't yet discovered the cure. Some of his theories haven't yet been proven. Even being a great physicist, he has never won a Nobel Prize.
